Accessibility, student records and support dates.
- Under the ADA Title II rule, state and local governments, including public schools, community colleges and public universities, must make web content and mobile apps meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. After the 2026 extension, the deadline is April 26, 2027 for entities serving 50,000 people or more, and April 26, 2028 for smaller ones.
- FERPA protects student education records at schools that receive US Department of Education funding. Your Moodle holds grades and other records, so hosting, access and backups all matter.
- Moodle 5.3 LTS has security support until October 1, 2029. Moodle 4.5 LTS gets security fixes until October 4, 2027.

Can you host our Moodle site in the United States?
Yes. We host on AWS, so your site can run in a US region. We can also host on another public cloud your organization prefers.
How does support work across time zones?
Nairobi is 7 to 8 hours ahead of US Eastern time and 10 to 11 hours ahead of Pacific time. Book calls at a time that suits you, and we can schedule maintenance outside your working day.
Does Moodle meet ADA accessibility requirements?
Moodle's core software is built to WCAG 2.1 AA, the standard the ADA Title II rule uses, and Moodle publishes an accessibility conformance report. Your theme, plugins and course content need checking too, because that is where problems usually come from.
How much does Moodle hosting cost?
Hosted plans start at about USD 39 a month and go up to about USD 232 for larger sites. These prices are indicative; your quote depends on learners, storage, integrations and support.
